  • The battery need to be get out of the power tool after surgery. Otherwise the small automatic discharge of the electric will make the life of the battery short.
  • The battery cannot be sterilized, it is not resistant to high temperatures.
  • The cranial bur must be washed right after the surgery by purger in order to avoid the blood stick in the bur, then we should make it dry.
  • The battery space in the hand piece of the tool should not have any water, after sterilization.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the maximum sterilization temperature for this orthopedic power tool?

The standard sterilization temperature should not exceed 135 °C. An improved type can withstand up to 155 °C. Exceeding these limits will cause damage to the motor.

2. Can the battery pack be sterilized in high-temperature autoclaves?

No, the battery is not resistant to high temperatures and cannot be sterilized. It must be safely removed from the handpiece prior to sterilization procedures.

3. What are the limits for drill bit capacity and speed?

The standard bone drill holds drill bits under 6 mm. The high-torque reaming drill operates at approximately 300 rpm, while the hollow drill (used with K-wire or nails) operates at around 600 rpm.

4. How should the cranial bur be cleaned after surgical use?

The cranial bur must be cleaned with a purger immediately post-surgery to prevent blood from drying and sticking. Ensure it is dried thoroughly before storage.

5. Why is it recommended to use a new cranial bur blade for each surgery?

The cranial bur blades are made of medical stainless steel, which is designed to be flexible rather than extremely hard to prevent shattering. As a result, they wear out easily, and single-use is highly recommended to ensure optimal performance.

6. What battery maintenance protocols should be followed?

Always remove the battery from the tool's handpiece after surgery to prevent slow automatic discharge, which shortens overall battery life. Additionally, make sure the battery compartment inside the handpiece is completely dry after sterilizing.
